Frequently
asked questions
about cycling trips...
-
What do your trips
include?
All trips include hotel
accommodation, luggage transfer, guide maps and
documentation, tourist information materials and a briefing of
our representative upon your arrival in Slovenia. Generally bikes
are not included, but may be rented on the beginning of the tour.
Some tours have extras such as entrance fees at cultural sights
already planned in the trip. Group trips also include our local tour
guide who cycles with the group.
-
-
How do I find my way
around? Easily. During our
welcome meeting you will be given a road book (description of the
trip in text form) and a set of maps to 1:50.000 scale (1 cm on the
map is 500 meters in nature). However, trips are also marked outside
in nature with our signs.
-
-
How difficult are
the trips?
We mark difficulty of
the trips with number of "peaks":
-

means that no extra fitness is required, easy trip.
-

mean that participants should have some training and skill for the
tour, daily distances are up to 50 kilometres, some short climbs are
involved.
-

include hills up to 100 metres and daily distances up to 70
kilometres;
-

are the most demanding
trips, with hills higher than 100 metres and daily distances of over
70 kilometres.
-
Our bike trekking
tours only cover a modest daily distance. This
makes them "cyclable" for the most average cyclist. However, those
more demanding cycling fans who may want to ride additional
kilometres will not have a problem - travelling documentation
suggests possible extra detours.
-
-
What types are the
trips?
Round trips start and
end in same place, there is an arranged parking place for your car,
if necessary. "Daisy" trips have one starting point from
where daily trips are taken. Chain trips start in A and end
in B, if necessary a return transfer to the starting point can be
arranged.
-
-
Are single rooms
available on all tours?
Yes, however there is a
small supplement.
-
-
Can we
hire a bike or do we have to bring our own?
-
You can freely use your own bike
on our tours. Should you wish to hire our bike, we can offer you a
quality
trekking bike of a known brand. It comes equipped with side bags
(panniers), basic repair kit, bottle holder and lock. Weekly hire
depends on the tour chosen. You can also hire a cycling helmet (10
EUR / week), we suggest you bring a scarf / bandana to wear under
the helmet.
-
-
Can use
our own tandem bike, can we use our own pedals?
-
You can of course do all trips with a
tandem bike. Should you need to have it transported from the airport
or elsewhere, you need to tell us in advance. Depending on the
circumstances we may have to change you extra in such occasions. You
can bring your own pedals.

-
What is bike rental
insurance?
We provide high value rental
bikes on our trips. Normal wear & tear which occurs during their use
is covered in rental price, however excessive damage (such as frame
break) or theft are not insured. Although we and our partner hotels
do our utmost to protect the bikes we recommend you to take our bike
insurance that also covers such events. The price of such bike
insurance is 1 EUR per bike per day.

-
Are support
vehicles available and how is luggage transported?
There are no support vehicles available. However
all clients are given emergency telephone numbers of our office

-
-
How about medical
insurances?
Medical insurances should be
arranged in your country before departure.
-

What else should we
bring?
Your travel documentation
includes suggested packing list. Final decision is yours. It is

the starting point of the tour?
